Frequently Asked Questions:

Q.  Do you have to be in a "professional" job to join PIT?

A.  Absolutely not!  When we say professional we mean anyone who is serious about their job search, regardless of pay scale, job level, or education.

Q.  Can I join PIT if I currently have a job but am interested in finding a new opportunity?

A.  Yes, you can.  PIT supports those who are un-employed or under-employed.  PIT also supports those who are re-entering the work force as well as those who are entering the work force for the first time.

Q.  What will it cost me?

A.  While we wish we could offer our services free of charge, we can't.  However, we are a non-profit, so we charge our members only what we need to cover our operating costs so that we can keep this resource available for anyone who needs it.

Q.  Why have our members joined?

A.  Here are some of the reasons our members have given when asked why they joined PIT:

"I enjoyed 15 years at my job and was downsized.  I joined for networking and support."
"I wanted to change my career, but was afraid I couldn’t make the same income."

"I wanted to do something more rewarding, but didn’t have all the skills I needed."
"I dreaded driving to my job every day and I knew I had to find a better life."
